Week of Oct. 6 – Oct. 10
We will be focusing on reading short 3 letter words with the short vowel e (as in get).
Please practice making words with your child with all the consonants and the vowel e, for example:
set, bet, get, jet, ten, vet, etc… have them find patterns within these words (i.e. vet, get, jet all end with -et)

One good thing to do is to put them on flash cards and have them repeat them after you until they can recognize them on their own. Also, you can make pairs and have them play a memory game.
You can also dictate the words and see if they remember how to spell them.
